Carissa Star graduated from Lyndhurst High School in 2002, where she stood out above her peers always 10 steps ahead of the crowd when it came to makeup and keeping up with the current hottest trends. Upon graduating ,she immediately found an interest in the beauty industry. Practicing her skills on any faces that would allow her, she quickly made a career of her talents!

 

After a little over a decade of doing freelance make-up, Carissa Star enrolled herself into Midway Paris Beauty school, & graduated at the top of her class in 2014, becoming licensed to practice in Hair, Skin Care and Nails.

 

Carissa planted her feet in a local hair salon upon graduating, specializing in Hair Stying & MakeUp application, but soon decided she wanted a change. Or better yet, she wanted to be the change and make a difference in others lives. She wanted to use her artistic and cosmetic talents to not only enhance a persons natural beauty, but to also give back a sense of security to those who need it most.

 

In 2016 she took a Microblading class in hopes to help cancer survivors gain their confidence back. Carissa invested all of her free time in learning and perfecting the art of Microblading. Carissa knew where this path she was on could take her, so in 2018 she saught out an apprenticeship with another local medical/cosmetic tattoo artist to hone in on her micro pigmentation skills. She quickly became fascinated with seeing how much more can be done for women with learning medical and cosmetic tattooing machine work for eyebrow tattooing, along with eyeliner and lip blush tattooing, wherein she started her one on one advanced training with a AAM certified master trainer. Because of her passion and skill, she successfully completed her training and has been doing incredible permanent makeup across the board.

 

Today Carissa offers a complete menu of Skincare & Beauty services ranging from lash enhancements to facials and even sunless spray tanning!  The variety of mediums practiced in both cosmetology and tattooing has enabled Carissa Star to develop into a well rounded artist in the medical and cosmetic micro pigmentation and permanent make-up field. She specializes in Eyebrow Tattooing, Microblading, Eyeliner Tattooing, & Lip Blush Tattooing incorporating all the latest techniques. Carissa Star provides herself on providing individualized, superior cosmetic services using only state-of-the-art technologies.
